It's a common topic on bingo forums and bingo blogs alike - have we lost something with the move to online bingo sites, or is it about time bingo halls were fazed out?

Most old school bingo players will argue that sitting in front of a PC playing on bingo sites will never be as much fun or sociable as playing in a bingo hall. It removes the social interaction which is a big part of the enjoyment and maybe people are more likely to get addicted or spend more money by playing on online bingo sites.

However, there's plenty of social interaction online - look at all the social network sites that have not just sprung up, but dominated, over the internet!  Plus, as the bingo site software is automated, you can easily argue its more fun because you get through more bingo lines!! There'll always be those who over-indulge whether it be on online bingo sites or bingo down at your local bingo hall - bingo sites are certainly not the cause of that! On the flip side, as you generally get through more bingo tickets on bingo sites than in bingo halls, then yes, it is easier to spend more.

But all in all, it's down to the individual, we all need to exercise some restraint in all areas of life and bingo sites are no exception (no matter how fun they are!).  It's fun to get together with your friends and have a laugh, but sometimes its just as much fun to get involved in the banter on the bingo sites chat box - the bingo CMs are characters and the other bingo players are crackers certainly more so than any down my local bingo hall that's for sure! Bingocams is a bingo site that allows bingo players to interact via a web cam - you can have a real laugh on there with some of the other roomies - they just have no boundaries! And that's another great thing about bingo sites; you don't have to hold back; you're at home and if you want to yell out and scream then so be it! If any of the other bingo roomies don't want to listen to you then they can turn off their sound or block you - easy!

So, bingo sites or bingo halls?!

And with that I conclude - bingo sites are far wackier than bingo halls, and if you're a little bit mad (like me) then you'll embrace bingo sites far more than the boring old bingo hall. Not that I don't enjoy a trip down there every now and then, it just won't be as often as it used to be!
